Abstract: Dormitory as the important part of civil construction has a great contribution to coal mine industrial sites. The unit plan determining the overall space form is the basic structure of the dormitory. At first, this thesis gives a discourse about the composing of the unit plan, and then concludes three kind of unit plan by taking recent design practices as examples, including bathroom near the hallway, on the balcony or in the middle of the room. In the end, there is a discussion about these three forms from the perspective of scale and climate.
