Numerical Simulation Study on The Overlying Strata Failure Rules of Roadway Backfill under Strong Aquifer

Abstract: In order to further study the movement and deformation mechanism of overlying strata with roadway backfill under the strong aquifer and to obtain the development law of the, the coal mine 3D model is established by combining the geological conditions of the mining area, then FLAC3D numerical simulation software is utilized to simulate the development of the water flowing fractured zone in the coal mine. In this paper, the development of water flowing fractured zone under three influence factors, such as mining thickness, filling rate, and elastic modulus of backfill, are simulated respectively. The height formulas of water flowing fractured zone with different influence factors are obtained by regression analysis. Base on the actual situation, the results show that it is safe and feasible to coal mining with roadway backfill under the strong aquifer with remarkable economic benefits.
