Coal-bed Methane Drainage Mode and Key Technology with Surface Drilling Well in Coal Mining Area

Abstract: In recent years, coal-bed methane drainage technology by ground drilling in coal mining area in China has developed rapidly, in horizontal wells drilling and fracturing, well layout optimization of vertical well and "L" type well in mining area, well body structure optimization and casing protection, evaluation of coal-bed methane resources and well drilling technology in gob, drilling process optimization, safety monitoring of negative pressure drainage and other aspects have a significant technological breakthrough. The extraction technology by ground drilling is developed from a single pre extraction to a comprehensive extraction stage; include pre-drainage, pressure relief drainage and drainage in gob. In our country, the proportion of coal bed methane drainage by ground well in the total extraction volume is increased from 14% in 2009 to 24% in 2015, which increased by 17%. Finally put forward the establishment of fine geological guidance model, fracture mechanism and fracture extension mechanism in soft coal seam, real time monitoring of fracturing fracture, field observation technology in underground coal mine ,safety evaluation and resource evaluation of drainage in gob, is still the main problems and key research directions of surface drilling extraction
