Abstract: The model of collaborative innovation is the general guiding strategy all of the innovation activities in collaborative innovation. This Study, on the basis of analyzing the characteristics of coal industry research projects，believed that the coal industry collaborative innovation should be the full factors collaborative innovation, whose main body should include government, coal enterprise, university, research institute, user, financial institution and technology intermediary and so on; considered that the model of coal industry collaborative innovation should be classified based on the responsibility and role of main body; and through the empirical analysis, verified the selection method, which is that the characteristics of scientific research project is the main basis of model type selection and team building affects the relationship between the characteristics of scientific research project and the model selection.
