Abstract: Climate change caused by greenhouse gas emissions has attracted more and more global attention. Open-pit mining, as an important way of coal mining, has the characteristics of high energy consumption and high greenhouse gas emissions. Carbon emission accounting in open-pit coal mines can provide a clear understanding of the source of carbon emissions and provide data support for energy saving and emission reduction in open-pit coal mines. In this paper, the open pit coal mine is taken as the research object, and the greenhouse gas accounting model is constructed on the basis of identifying its emission sources. Then based on the energy consumption of Haerwusu Open-pit Coal Mine, the calculation and analysis of greenhouse gas emissions were carried out. At last, according to the characteristics of open-pit coal mine, the policy suggestions for its emission reduction strategies are given.
