Abstract: In order to solve the problems of low coal bunker capacity and complex coal transportation routes in mining area, a method of extending coal bunker upward across the intersected roadway is proposed. Through theoretical analysis and calculation, bolt + anchor cable + shotcrete and concrete support technology were used to permanently support the coal bunker without destroying the original coal bunker. Besides, raise-boring machine was applied to further reduced construction period. This method was applied for the coal bunker reconstruction in the second mining area of Chengfeng Company. The results show that this method can increase the capacity of coal bunker and reduce the coal transportation route length in a short time; the reinforcement calculation by SCCT software can obtain reasonable parameters for reinforced concrete when crossing the intersected roadway affected area; this paper can provide reference for underground coal bunker reconstruction with similar conditions.
