Abstract: Abstract:Indonesia is a very important coal producer in the world. Its coal output is 563 million tons in 2020, ranking third in the world. At present, almost all coal is mined in the open pit. After nearly 20 years of high strength mining, the coal resources with good surface mining conditions are greatly reduced, and the next step into deep mining is the future development direction. This is a very instructive attempt by a company in Indonesia to introduce Chinese technology for well mining. Through this project, it is found that the comparison and selection of development schemes is one of the key links in open-pit mining. The relative change of shallow surface in open-pit mines has great influence on the development design of industrial square and wellbore. Therefore, the whole coal mining development scheme needs ground and underground comprehensive consideration for comparison and selection. In this paper, the best scheme is selected through comparative study of schemes, which is not only beneficial to construction and cost reduction, but also in line with the transportation system left by open-pit mines to achieve the special design effect of open-pit to underground mining. There are not many similar projects in China, and it is hoped that this paper can provide reference for the future design scheme of open pit transfer mining
