Research of Bearing Fault Simulation Technology Based on the Virtual Prototype

Abstract: According to the Hertz contact theory, the internal mechanical analysis of the ball bearing was carried out, and the lubrication characteristics of the bearing were considered according to the elastic fluid lubrication theory. Based on ADMAS, the fault bearing models with inner ring fault dimensions of 0.007 inch, 0.014 inch and 0.021 inch were established, and the vibration data of inner ring fault were simulated. The results show that the simulated characteristic frequencies of different fault sizes are close to the calculated and experimental values, and the maximum relative error is 3.46%. The feasibility of using virtual prototype technology to establish bearing typical fault database is verified.
