Abstract: The large amount of latent heat released by unconventional water in the process of icing can be extracted by the phase change heat exchange device as a low temperature heat source for heat pumps to solve the shortage of conventional heat sources (mine drainage and exhaust air; natural gas and electrical energy) in coal mines. In this paper, an industrial experimental study on the coupling of casing phase change condensing heat transfer device and low temperature heat pump system developed for coal mine heating system is carried out, and the research results show that the COP of the system is up to 3.57 in the condensing heat transfer stage, and the heat transfer coefficient decreases from 520 W/m2-K to 285 W/m2-K and the COP decreases from 3.57 to 3.29 when the thickness of icing is between 10 and 30 mm. this study provides improve the benefits of unconventional water resources chemistry and build a model for efficient utilization of unconventional water resources chemistry in mines provides a reference.
