Abstract:

This paper introduced the working principle and material properties of floating oil seal, took a floating oil seal in high torque hub reductor installed a heavy duty truck as research object, described a successful example of the floating oil seal in the application of coal underground mining equipments. But for its common failures, oil leakage and high temperature, were examined and analyzed. At last, especially describe a right installation method for floating oil seal.
