Abstract: The strength of set cement and the bonding power of bonding surface between ambient medium and set cement are main factors that influence the waterproof performance in freezing holes, and the action of freeze-thaw circulation greatly change set cement microstructure, which weaken the waterproof performance. Simulation test method was conducted to study the change law of the set cement strength and the bonding power between freezing pipes, hole wall and set cement in different ratio under the action of freeze-thaw circulation. The results showed that action of freeze-thaw circulation can damage the mechanical properties of the set cement obviously, and through increasing the set cement strength and adulterating proper level of swelling agent can considerably improve the bonding power between ambient medium and set cement, which can reduce the freeze-thaw damage and enhance the waterproof performance.
