Abstract: The paper introduced the current situation of coal science and technology development in China，combined with the economic development trend and policy guidance，such as China's New Normal，energy revolution and strategy of innovation-driven development, analyzed the new situation facing the coal industry development in China，discussed the development trend of coal science and technology in China, could provide the decision-making reference for the development of coal science and technology in China in the future.
