Simulation study on the improvement and optimization of bubble generator

Abstract: Flotation column is one of the important equipment in the flotation process, the bubble generator is an important part of the structure of the flotation column. For the pulp aeration and air bubble mineralization, bubble generator performance will affect the mineral separation effect, so the structure design and optimization of bubble generator is particularly important. Through the research on the structure and principle of bubble generator, the use of air entrainment, with turbulent mixing can improve the flow characteristics of gas holdup, and combined with the turbulent Carmen vortex form, and improved the simulation and optimization of a bubble generator, namely "Carmen vortex type bubble generator". Through the simulation experiment, compared to the original bubble generator, the improved structure has obvious effect on the bubble generator throat turbulence intensity increase.
