Abstract: Road deformation in mining areas, such as road collapse, road uplift, road surface cracks, will have a significant impact on vehicle traffic safety. This paper presents a method to monitor road subsidence in mining area by 3d laser.First through 3d laser scanner to obtain pavement point cloud data, and then each phase of the DEM data are obtained by interpolation, the DEM data after deformation and subsidence, the original DEM data subtraction to get the final use of inverse distance weighting method to rasterize subsidence data processing for road subsidence model, using subsidence information to extract road slope and curvature deformation information. The proposed method was tested on S203 provincial road near wugou coal mine, and the results were consistent with the measured level data, which verified the feasibility of the method in monitoring road subsidence.
