Abstract:

The open pit mine is rich in underground water because of the large precipitation in the southern China, so covered culverts are widely used there. The article expounds the shape of covered culverts and the applicable condition in the waste dump. The external force calculation, structure of covered culverts and selection of cross section are also described. This study represents the practice of inverted filter and the draining hole.
