Roadside support technology of gob-side entry retaining of hard roof and it’s engineering application

Abstract: In view of gob-side entry retaining under the hard roof condition, the anchor cable and individual hydraulic prop of roadside active power cutting roof support technology is put forward on the basis of the traditional roadside dense hydraulic prop support. Firstly dense individual props are used to support roadside roof and then the anchor cable is used additionally. When the goaf roof fall, the dense props are gradually evacuated, and a new row individual prop with larger space are supported. The roadside active supporting system composed of new individual prop and anchor cable is established. The support resistances of the single prop and coal sidewall was been obtained through mechanical analysis. Through the field investigation of gob-side entry retaining in Muchengjian coal mine, the monitoring data show that: the displacement between the roof and floor is 125mm and the displacement of the two roadsides reachs 52mm after one mining; And the influence of two mining on the roof and floor’s displacement and two roadsides’ displacement are relatively small, only 40mm, 5mm, respectively. It is obvious that the “anchor cable and individual hydraulic prop” roadway support technology has a good control effect on the stability of surrounding rock in gob-side entry retaining of hard roof.
