Abstract: Basing on the effects of gob air leakage induced by the surface crack in shallow buried coal seam, and in view of coal spontaneous combustion prevention, taking the 10202working face of Ciyaogou coal mine as the research object, the air leakage characteristics of shallow buried working face was mastered by the tracer gas. By the comparative analysis of the air leakage after the implementation of plugging technology, the plugging effects were verified. The results shows that: 1) the air leakage zone from the intake airway to the position of 30m in dip leakage into the gob, after 30m in dip to return airway was leakage out the gob, and the surface air leakage channels are present;2) the volume of the air leakage was 161.2m3/min, the surface leakage air volume was 90m3/min;3) After implementing the plugging measures, into the leakage volume decreased to 76.1m3/min, the surface air leakage volume reduced to 24m3 /min. The total leakage air volume reduced 85.1m3/min after implementing the plugging measures, which show that the effects of plugging measures were more significant. Through the analysis of air leakage and its practice, the air leakage characteristics and plugging measures’ effects were identified, which had important practical significance to guide the mine fire prevention.
