Abstract: Now the breadth and precision of sandstone hydraulic parameters can’t adapt to the requirement of water yield prediction and seepage property evaluation, then the results can’t accord with the fact. In order to estimate the permeability of sandstone, an important hydrogeological parameter, a mathematical model between the macroscopic permeability and pore fractal dimension was created based on fractal theory and Unequal capillary columns model. To test the accuracy of the selected theory and the reliability of the professional image software, the macroscopic permeability of the samples on the main sandstone aquifer obtained at borehole on a coal mine in Tangshan were measured and Scanning election microscope and Imagepro Plus software were also used to get SEM image and calculate the theoretical values. By comparison, the results show the error between the theoretical value and the measured value is small and these selected methods and built models are reasonable.
