Abstract: This paper mainly introduces the process and mechanism of serious water and sand Inrush in sub-inclined shaft of Jinjitan coal mine, the principle, process of disaster management. The study found that the repeated cycling of large tonnage vehicles resulted in multiple ruptures of the floor, and the liquefaction of the sand behind the wall was the fundamental cause of the water sand disaster in the inclined shaft. In the emergency stage, the scheme of “crib+grouting” is adopted. In the later stage of reinforcement, the scheme of “U-Steel shelter+grouting” is adopted. When all treatment finished, 2 set of mining equipment were installed and recovered successfully in the inclined system. Increased water flow, cracks in the floor and sand gushing do not appear anymore as a result. These remediation measures provide a good reference for similar disaster prevention and control.
