Abstract: In the dark environment of underground coal mine, the blind area of the trackless rubber-wheeled vehicle is large, so the obstacle behind the rear of the vehicle and people ’s movement in the vehicle are hard to see and the communication with the people in car is hard to make.Base on this, safety accidents when reversing or people get on or off the vehicle are often happened.In order to avoid the accidents,a low illumination camera based on the high sensitivity image sensor is designed.By adding infrared supplementary light lamp, the imaging quality in dark environment is improved. Meanwhile,video control box, display and vehicle-mounted intercom are designed to realize the functions of reversing image, visible carriage, driving record and voice intercom, which provide guarantee for the driver's safe driving.After industrial tests, it is found that the camera image in the carriage is easily affected by the bright light reflected by the reflective strip on the clothes of the personnel. In addition, the reversing camera is easy to be contaminated. In the future, the research direction will be the bright light suppression and self-cleaning function of the camera.
