Low oxygen treatment technology in air return corner of fully mechanized caving face in shallow contiguous coal seams

Abstract:

Aiming at the upper corner low-oxygen phenomenon in the mining of shallow contiguous coal seams, taking the112207 working face of Xiaobaodang Coal Mine as the research object, the low oxygen prevention technology of working face based on ejection principle is put forward, and the variation law of wind speed and oxygen concentration of working face under different ejection airflow conditions was analyzed using numerical simulation. The simulation results show that, the ejection air flow can improve the low-oxygen environment in the air return corner, and the best effect is achieved when the ejection air flow and the air return lane tilt are set. At this position, the low oxygen phenomenon can be eliminated when the ejection wind speed is 8 m/ s and the overall oxygen concentration is kept above 19%. Finally, the numerical simulation results were verified by field tests, and the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified. The research results can provide certain guidance for the prevention and control of hypoxia in the return air corner of working face.
