Study on the Performance of the Sludge Collecting Device of the Coal Mine Sump Cleaner Based on EDEM

Abstract:

In order to further improve the performance of the spiral sludge collecting device of the coal mine sump cleaner, the simulation model of sludge collection is established by using the EDEM software, explored the torque variation trend and the aggregate effect of the spiral reamer of the sludge collecting device under the conditions of fixed speed and different transmission ratios, and fitted the obtained data to obtain the fitting curve. The results show that with the increasing of transmission ratio, the mass of materials transported in unit time is also increasing, and the distribution of scattered points is approximately a quadratic curve. At the same time, by comparing the torque of different spiral reamers, it is found that the torque of the rear end spiral reamer is significantly higher than that of the front end spiral reamer, and there is no obvious change rule. The torque of the front end spiral reamer decreases gradually with the increase of the transmission ratio within a certain range, and reaches the minimum when the transmission ratio is 1:1.1.
