Abstract: Based on the evaluation data of coal resources potential in Heilongjiang Province, the structural characteristics and evolution process of the regional basins are analyzed, and the occurrence and structural control characteristics of coal-bearing are analyzed.Data analysis shows that eastern Heilongjiang Province, a large continental margin coal basin was formed in the early Cretaceous, In Late Cretaceous, the large basin was destroyed because of the strong convergence of plate subduction. The tectonic evolution of the coal-forming basin has undergone two periods of structural subsidence and two tectonic reversals. The tectonic subsidence of two periods formed the coal-forming basin in the Heilongjiang Province, and the subsequent two structural reversals have some destructive effects on the coal-bearing occurrence. The superimposition of the two tectonic actions has resulted to coal measures occur in a series of isolated small and medium-sized coal basins.
