Abstract:

The cyclonic micro bubble flotation column has better separation effect than the traditional flotation equipment in the separation of fine coal slime due to its small bubble size and strong secondary enrichment effect of foam. However, for other coal slimes that are difficult to float, such as flotation feed with high solid concentration and wide particle size composition, especially when coal quality fluctuates in many coal preparation plants, the flotation effect of cyclonic microbubble flotation is not ideal, which limits the application of cyclonic microbubble flotation column. In this paper, the research progress in improving the structure of cyclonic microbubble flotation column is summarized, and the separation effects of cyclonic microbubble flotation with different structures on three kinds of difficult to float slimes (coal slime with ultra-fine particles, with high solid concentration and with wide particle size) are analyzed. The results show that the cyclonic microbubble flotation column can meet the requirements of wide particle size fraction and high concentration flotation, and retain its good separation effect for fine slime through structural improvement.
