Abstract:

Abstract. The failure modes of the layered structure of the rock slope is planar slip and toppling, the reason of this kind of failure is deformation and strength anisotropy. In this paper, we conduct the FLAC numerical simulation to the bedding rock slop of the open-pit with the the jointed constitutive model. The dip angle of the slop with the plasticity glide band and the dip angle of the layer is generally consistent. The FLAC jointed constitutive model can provide an effective means for the simulation of layerde rock masses.
