Abstract:

As the frequently occurring of the accidents in underground coal mine, the accurate location of mine personnel becomes very important. The accuracy of algorithms based on the improved centroid localization is not ideal. From this point of view, this paper proposes an Area-division based Centroid Localization Algorithm. The new algorithm divides the area of anchor nodes into several smaller areas to make the area of the unknown node more clearly to improve the accuracy of localization. When determining the area of the unknown node, the process of the improved weighted centroid localization algorithm will be conducted to achieve the estimated location of the unknown node. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the error of location and improve the accuracy of localization.
