Abstract:

Abstract: In order to solve the problem of analysis of materials' crushing energy in a jaw crusher's crushing process, Discrete Element Method (DEM) was applied . A material's discrete element model and a jaw crusher's crushing chamber's model was established by using PFC3D(Particle Flow Code in 3 Dimensions). By applying a simulated uniaxial-compression test on the material's model and adjust parameters repeatedly, so the model can meet the material's real mechanical property. The material was dropped under gravity and crushed by crushing plate, material's crushing energy's fig was obtained by recording materials' crushing energy in a crushing process. It is found that materials' crushing energy shows a steadily stair-shape increase along with crushing process by analyzing material's crushing energy fig.
