Abstract: Based on the fully mechanized driving face excavation site condition, water-air two-phrase spray device mounted on coal shearer was designed in the paper, and the device can achieve efficient dust removal effect, without high pressure water supply system, only through the small air-fog formed by water-air coaxial spray nozzle. Therefore, the device effectively solved the problem that due to narrow space, complex installation of the mechanical equipment layout is not suitable. The experimental results show that the spray dust device form a water curtain which can effectively prevent the spread of dust, effectively avoid the pollution of the driver and roadway, greatly improved the working environment of the fully mechanized driving face．
