Simulation and stability analysis of the narrow-LHD in coal mine

Abstract: Nowadays, as the development of the modernization and mechanization of coal mine, the LHD had become an indispensable equipment of the trackless auxiliary transportation system. Actually, the LHD had been widely used and promoted in the production of coal mine. Meanwhile, due to the complex environment and harsh conditions of coal mine underground, the working stability of the LHD was a key fact in the production safety of coal mine. Taking advantage of the virtual prototype established by Solidworks, the LHD’s working process could be effectively simulated through the kinematic analysis environment based on Adams. The change curve of the vehicle’s gravity center could be drawn simultaneously. Adopted the plane geometry analysis method, the result could be used to analyze and calculate the working stability of the LHD in the static workload state and in the working states on the variable and complex roadbed. Then, the arrangement structure and the gravity centre position could be redesigned though the calculation results. The combination of the simulation method and the plane geometry analysis method could be used as a new way for the stability analysis of the LHD.
