Abstract: In order to study the effects of the crop yields and its components by waters in mining subsidence.Based on the field monitoring and laboratory analysis, this paper collected the crop samples from the different locations around the subsidence waters. The results showed that the waters change the characteristics of soil, and have significant impact on the plant height of maize at different locations and the dry matter weight of the aerial parts.During the elongation stage, tasseling stage, milk-ripe stage and full ripening stage, subsidence waters have significant impact on the plant height of maize at different locations and the dry matter weight of the aerial parts.Mining subsidence waters has significant impact on different locations’ maize yields and its component, with the increase of the distance from the waters, the impact on maize yields and its component is tended to decrease, all obviously lower than the control as well.Four meters away from subsidence waters, the yields of maize reduces for 100%.Four meters to six meters away from the waters, the maize yield is reduced by 60.47%,40.41% and 27.21% respectively. This study could provide the theoretical supporting to the reported loss of the cultivated land and the compensating of the damaged cultivated.
