Abstract: In order to solve the problem of sealing fracture under complicated geological conditions in measuring seam gas pressure, the technology of gradually reducing sealing is proposed in the paper based on the tunnel surrounding rock stress distribution. The fracture zone and plastic enhanced areas of multistage sealing to enhance the accuracy of the pressure. According to the coal and rock elastic plastic softening model to simulate the excavation of tunnel surrounding rock plastic zone radius, simulations are carried out to validate by FLAC3D software which provides the data support for a borehole plugging depth. Field application is carried out in XueHu Coal Mine Area 29. The results show that the variable diameter sealing technology in measuring time reduced 29.4%, equivalent to about 8.3 days, in the manometric findings enhance 65.6%. The test results close to the original coal seam gas pressure, and the technology has wide application value.
