Abstract: Abstract : In ord to control the surrounding rock with roadway driving along goaf of which overlying strata is unstable. Based on analysis of Influencing Factors for mechanical environment in coal plillar with gob-side entry, Taking the return roadway of NO.1342(1) workface in Gubei mine as the engineering background, a comprehensive technical scheme of surrounding rock control based on coal pillar pre-reinforcement was proposed. Supporting effect of the scheme is studied by numerical simulation and the field engineering practice, The results show that roadway driving along goaf with the adoption of the comprehensive technical scheme when the overlying strata of last section was unstable, the bearing capacity of coal pillar was improved and the stability of coal pillar was maintained, the deformation of surrounding rock was reduced obviously, the supporting effect was improved obviously.
