Deformation mechanism of surrounding rocks of deep and soft rock roadway with bolt-grouting in Pingdingshan No.8 Coal Mine

Abstract: Deformation control issue of surrounding rocks of deep and soft rock roadway has been the focus and difficulty at coal mines studies. Take the track-down roadway of district D four in Pingdingshan No.8 Coal Mine as engineering background, use in-situ industrial test and numerical simulation,the paper studied the mechanism of surrounding rocks deformation and failure of roadway in two kinds of support conditions with bolt-shotcreting and bolt-grouting support. The results showed that: (1) Compared with the bolt-shotcreting, higher stress zone into shallow surrounding rock of bolt-grouting roadway is shifted to deep surrounding rocks of roadway, so that the shallow surrounding rocks area is in lower stress zone, which improves the surrounding rock stress of roadway. (2) The displacement of roadway surrounding rocks with bolt-grouting is less than that of corresponding positions of roadway surrounding rocks with bolt-shotcreting, So bolt-grouting support plays an effective role in control strata deformation of roof and floor and two sides of roadway. The authors proposed and implemented the measures of secondary grouting technology of roadway, studied grouting process and grouting parameters. After the implementation of field test, roadway deformation has been effectively controlled.
