Abstract: The design working face closed to the oxidation zone of No.5 coal seam. During the tunnel excavation, the coal seam was looked thinner even disappear in the end, so the three-components & multiple survey lines observation system was adopted. Three parallel survey lines were arranged on the heading face, and two were arranged on the right sidewall. After datum processing, the corresponding seismic sections and 3D datum views were drew, which showed that the abnormal reflection bands located between 90 to 120 meters ahead of the heading face, which located between 24 to 36 meters depth in the right sidewall. According to the four validation holes, the oxidation zone located within 30 meters depth in working face, and took detection at heading face after excavating 50 meters forward again.
