Abstract: Abstract: Based on pull- rock breaking model with conical pick, theoretical formulas of alloyed head’s length and the optimal distance between centres for an array of picks were derived. Considering frictional resistance and rock property, theoretical formula of cutting force was derived. Calculation results are highly consistent with the related research findings, and accuracy of computing has been improved. Analysis shows that frictional resistance has a certain impact on cutting force. They have theoretical significance for design and selection of conical pick and mining machine’s working body.
