Abstract: The choice of steering mode in open pit mining area is related to the development of transportation system layout, production stripping ratio and comprehensive transportation distance during the turning period and the post-steer mining area, which directly affects the overall economic benefits of the mine. Combined with the specific coal seam occurrence conditions of Xinjiang South Open-pit Mine, comprehensive consideration of the factors affecting the steering mode, through the program comparison, the optimal plan for the transition from the first mining area to the first mining area was determined, shortening the transition time and ensuring the output connection.
